Fiddler's Elbow Country Club

Fiddler's Elbow Country Club is a private country club located in Bedminster, New Jersey. Fiddler's Elbow is the largest corporate membership country club in the world.[1] The golf club has 3, 18-hole championship courses and membership is highly exclusive. The club is also known for its extravagant weddings, receptions and corporate golf outings.

History

The club was founded in 1965. The club has three 18 hole courses (The River, The Forest, and The Meadow) each with a par of 72. The country club sits on what was previously a farm and the 10,000-square-foot (930 m2) English manor became the clubhouse.

Location

The Rattlesnake Bridge Road entrance to the clubhouse is adjacent to Interstate 78, at Exit 26. The location boasts over 1,200 acres (4.9 km2) of pristine and highly manicured terrain.

Membership

Membership is limited to corporate applicants and the club is ranked as one of the most exclusive golf and country clubs in the United States. Guests must be accompanied by a member in order to play at Fiddlers Elbow. Membership includes access to the three golf courses, the club house and its full-featured restaurant, locker rooms, complementary valet parking, and a helipad.

Famous members

The club is frequented by many famous people including Steven Van Zandt and former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman. Former President Ronald Reagan used to frequent the club, as well as many other top executives from companies like Anheuiser Bush, Merck and GE. Many Fortune 500 companies have memberships at the club. Raymond J. Donovan, former US Secretary of Labor, is part owner of the club as well. New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur has been known to visit the club, as well as former New York Giants' defensive end Michael Strahan. Other high profile members include former President George W. Bush, LPA golfer Annika Sörenstam, and many other professional athletes.

Executive staff

The club is privately owned and operated. Club Management includes PGA Professional Chas Starlund, General Manager Tom Hurley, Head Chef Jim Burnett, Superintendent Tom Breiner, Contoller Brendon Steidle, and Golf Events Manager Doug Graubard.
